Compassion is the spontaneous wisdom of the heart. It's always with us. It always has been, and always will be.

- Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche

Hello and welcome. I’m a spiritually grounded, compassion-centered therapist whose approach blends psychology, mindfulness, and the quiet wisdom of the body. I’ve been a yoga and meditation practitioner and teacher for 25 years, and these practices deeply shape the way I show up as a therapist.

My therapeutic approach weaves together Compassion-Based Awareness Therapy (CBAT), somatic practices, polyvagal-informed work, mindfulness, and nervous system regulation. Rooted in a non-pathologizing perspective, I view symptoms not as signs of brokenness but as intelligent responses to lived experience. In our work together, we gently attune to your inner world, build nervous system capacity and resilience, and reconnect you with the intuition, steadiness, and meaning that already live within you.

I work with adults, couples, families, and adolescents navigating anxiety, depression, grief, complex trauma, health issues, cancer diagnosis and survivorship, and life transitions, including career changes, identity exploration, relationship shifts, spiritual questioning, and phases of personal evolution.

I am especially drawn to supporting clients who feel disconnected from their body or inner voice and those longing to return to a deeper sense of presence and authenticity.

My sessions invite grounded stillness, gentle curiosity, and a compassionate exploration of the full spectrum of human experience- grief and joy, fear and love, uncertainty and resilience. I believe healing unfolds in safe, attuned relationship and that therapy can become a place to remember who you are, reclaim your inner wisdom, and build a life rooted in awareness, integrity, and connection.

I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Counseling from Point Loma Nazarene University and am a certified yoga teacher trained in the Integral Yoga tradition (2001). Beyond clinical work, my life has long been immersed in mindfulness, trauma-informed yoga, breathwork, meditation, and sound healing. As a cancer survivor, yoga teacher, sound therapist, Reiki practitioner, and facilitator of yoga teacher trainings in San Diego, I draw from both professional training and lived experience to support healing in all its forms.

I have been married since 2003, and our relationship has held all the beautiful and messy things long partnerships do- joy, challenge, growth, and a lot of learning how to show up for each other. I’m also the mom of two young adult sons, who I consider my greatest teachers. They keep me learning, laughing, and evolving right alongside them. When I’m not with clients, you can find me teaching yoga, hanging out with the people I love, traveling, or returning to the simple rituals that help me feel nourished and grounded.

My hope is that our work together becomes a sanctuary, a space where you can soften, breathe, reconnect with yourself, and move toward a more embodied, meaningful, and awakened way of living.
